Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to explore my website. I'm Iman, a BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist, offering online counselling to individuals who are grappling with their mental health. (For more information, visit www.bacp.co.uk) As an integrative psychotherapist, I firmly believe in your capacity to attain inner peace, and I am dedicated to assisting you on this journey. With a background in Psychology spanning a decade, I hold degrees in both applied psychology and psychological studies. My path took a transformative turn towards psychotherapy when I pursued certification in Humanistic therapy. This shift led me away from clinical psychology, culminating in the completion of my MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Newcastle, UK. I am now available for both online sessions and face-to-face counselling, aiming to provide the support you need in a way that suits you best.

Some of the work I have done

I have worked with numerous charities and organisations all of which provided me with the knowledge and skills I now use in my own practice leaving me feeling competent in my skillset should you choose to contact me going further. I have worked with Childline, and the listening ear both organisations catering to young adult and teenage mental health issues. Here I worked both online and face-to-face on childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, eating disorders, suicidal ideation, stress and self-esteem. I have also done some work with Fatima Memorial Hospital and currently am working with Well minds online dedicated to providing available and affordable counselling via phone and video call. Here individuals often came with issues around Racism, trauma, sexuality, divorce, gendered expectations, parenting OCD and bereavement. I am also currently working with Actsfast a charity that helps families impacted by child sexual abuse and indecent images working on everything from relationship issues, Sexual abuse and trauma to low self-worth, family conflict and infidelity. I also aim to raise awareness on mental health issues around Developing Countries. I am currently completing a paper on gender issue in Pakistan / Afghanistan / India and the correlation it has on the reluctance to seek therapeutic support. I have collaborated with a multitude of charities and organizations, each contributing to the extensive knowledge and skills that I now apply in my own practice. This background has instilled in me a strong sense of competence in my skillset, which I am eager to offer should you decide to reach out for further assistance. My responsibilities encompass a wide spectrum, addressing concerns spanning relationship issues, sexual abuse and trauma, low self-worth, family conflict, and infidelity. In parallel, I am devoted to raising awareness about mental health concerns prevalent in Developing Countries. As part of this commitment, I am in the process of completing a paper focusing on gender-related issues in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and India, and how these issues influence the reluctance to seek therapeutic support. Process

1. Initial Consultation


Book your no obligation online 20-minute consultation Session. Ask the questions you wish to ask and get to know me to see if I am the right person for you to share your journey with. If everything works out and you are happy to move forward we can set a plan in place that works for you and our sessions going forward.

2. Initial assessment


We will complete a small informal therapeutic assessment and go through our therapeutic agreement. In the assessment we may discuss relevant history and your current situation. This can set the foundation for where you'd like the focus of our sessions to be. This is flexible and can vary depending on where life takes you during our time together.

3.Therapy appointment


Once the assessment has been conducted we will have a good idea on the direction you would like to take and the aims you would like to achieve by the end of our relationship.
